How to get to Bluff Beach
|
Bluff Beach can be reached mostly by road only, only if the water is exceptionally calm by boat:
You can rent a bycicle (up to $ 15.00 per day) or a motor scooter ( up to $ 50.00 per day). The road is in bad condition and it is sometimes hard to find a taxi, but if you are somewhat sporty rent a vehicle to go and visit this beach.

What to do at Bluff Beach
|
Use your imagination. What could you be doing on a stretch of several miles of deserted beach? For one
thing, bring a lunch box and something cold to drink. There is no place to buy anything there.
Swimming, be careful at certain times of the year the surf is quite high and there are strong currents.
Surfing is one of the main attractions there and there are also some surf camps.
During turtle breeding season the beach is littered with turtles building their nests and laying eggs. I believe
the season is from April through July, but don't hold me to that. Supervised turtle watching at night is offered
during that time. Bring plenty of bug repellent. There are no cameras with flashes allowed and white flash
or camera lights are also banned. If you want to participate in a turtle protection program(turtle police) you
can do that for a fee. I believe they charge in access of $ 200.00. This includes transportation to and from
the site and some meager meals.
Anyway, like many other places that are not so easy to get to, it is certainly a place you should visit.
